Leland Downtown Playbook

Leland, Mississippi · with the Leland Chamber of Commerce
The playbook

Created with the Leland Chamber of Commerce and downtown property owners, the Leland Downtown Playbook organized the community’s assets, challenges, opportunities, and priority projects into one visual tool for action. It brought together a property inventory, connectivity analysis, resource matrix, market study, renovation concepts, and practical implementation guidance for Downtown Leland.

The Playbook became the prototype for Kudzu Collective’s Creative Strategy Guidebook offering: a community-centered planning product designed to support conversations, partnerships, fundraising, property-owner engagement, and incremental implementation. Its value is visible in the work that followed, including the rehabilitation of six historic storefronts along East 3rd Street.
