THE GRIOT CENTER

The 1918 historic JC Penney Building and Paramount Theater is being brought back to life in this extraordinary project that will house Clarksdale, Mississippi nonprofit Griot Arts.  Kudzu Collective and our partners have facilitated community engagement conversations and completed programming and preliminary design for this project as Griot Arts raises funds for this effort.  Learn more about The Griot Center in the programming document and project website linked below.
